New topographic maps forAsia added. Download the topographic maps for Garmin for free in the Asia section.
There are 3 different versions available. Version one is a .img file which can be directly copied to the SD card of the Garmin device. Second version is packed in a MapSource Install file for Garmin Mapsource or Garmin BaseCamp. The third version is for the RoadTrip installer for Mac OSX. This free Garmin GPS Topo for the Alps maps is based on data from the OpenStreetMap project. The free Topo Map the Alps is converted to be used on Garmin GPS devices. All GPS maps are fully routable. The map is stored in a zip file. To unzip the files you need a program like WinRAR or similar.
The GPS Topo map of the Alps is provided in three or four different formats:
- osm_routable_gmapsupp.zip = Combined image for direct manual placement on the GPS device (gmapsupp.img)
