Free Maps for Garmin GPS
The free Maps from OpenStreetMap are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 (CC-BY-SA). These files are converted to the Garmin .img format. All GPS maps are routable. The maps are stored in a zip file containing the .img file for Garmin devices and the Garmin Mapsource Installer for Windows, the RoadTrip installer for Mac OSX and a zip file with “tiles in the request” especially for Linux users (eg QLandkarte).
All the available maps are from OpenStreetMap. Are all free and anyone can use them. Since they are copyright free you can download the legally on this website. We provide them with the Mapsource installer as well as .img file to copy them straight to your Garmin SD card.
We provide free GPS maps for Garmin for almost any country in this World. Including Europe, North- and South America, Asia, Australia, and the Antarctic. If You have a special request. Let us know and we will upload the map for the desired area.
We are always searching for special free maps for Garmin devices. Maps for hiking, cycling and water sport, as well as off-road maps. If you have any of these maps you can contact us and send them to us via ftp. We will be more than happy to publish them here on the website.
